Diebold Nixdorf, Incorporated (DBD) popped out on Tuesday. It looks like it crossed a double top and finished near the upper end of the range, moving up 1.16, or 17%, to 8.02, with a session high of 8.11, on 4.1 million shares traded. That is the biggest volume on an up-day since last Dec. So, it was a very good day for DBD, and I’m looking for an extension follow-through to take it to 10 1/2.
First Solar, Inc. (FSLR) might be another one, although it did get up and popped out of the little coil that it was in on Tuesday, with a thrust of 3.20, or 5 1/4%, to 64.04, with a session high of 64.23, on volume that picked up to 1.5 million shares traded. I suspect we are going to see 67-68 next.
The Mosaic Company (MOS) broke out of a wedge pattern on Tuesday with a breakaway gap of 1.85, or 13 1/2%, to 15.55, with a session high of 15.88, on 13.5 million shares traded. That is the biggest volume on a up-day going back a couple years. It was a good day for that stock. Targeting a run at 17 1/2-3/4.
Sorrento Therapeutics, Inc. (SRNE) exploded on Tuesday on a big move of 3.07, or 31.4%, to 12.84, with a session high of 13.25, and another 1.05 in after-hours, on 163 million shares traded. That is monster volume. It might have more to go, but there is some lateral resistance in here. The next target is way in the mid-20’s.
ViewRay, Inc. (VRAY) popped out of a base pattern on Tuesday, jumping 70 cents, or 28%, to 3.23, just 3 cents off the session high at 3.26, on 3.4 million shares traded. I would target 360-.65, and eventually a run to 4 3/4-5.
