Ballard Power Systems Inc. (BLDP) is on its way up. I have been talking about this stock for a month now. It broke out about six weeks ago, flagged for three weeks, broke out again, flagged for a week, and popped on Wednesday. It had a really nice follow-through on Thursday, with a move up of 3.82, or 15.74%, to 28.13, and a new 19-year session high of 28.23, on 9.3 million shares traded. At this point, I’m looking for it to continue and reach the top of the channel in the mid to high 30’s at some point.
Himax Technologies, Inc. (HIMX) popped and pulled back, and popped again on Thursday, advancing 44 cents, or 6.01%, to 7.76, with a session high of 7.88, on 2.9 million shares traded. I need it to break out above the prior high. There is key resistance there, but if it could get through that level, my targets are 9, and then 10.
First Solar, Inc. (FSLR) has made a fantastic run since March. It pulled back two days ago, held support at the trendline, punched up through the 50-day, and on Thursday, it popped 5.81, or 5.83%, to 105.50, with a session high of 107.17, on 3.4 million shares traded. Targets going forward are 117-20, followed by 135.
Stratasys Ltd. (SSYS) broke out late November, and has been running up ever since, going from 16 to just under 30. It popped on Thursday, with a move up of 8.20, or 38.97%, to 29.24, and a session high of 29.33, on 9.2 shares traded. It almost went through the double-top at 30 1/2. If it gets through there, it will make a run to the mid to high 30’s.
XL Fleet Corp. (XL) is a new swing of ours that I put on after the recent big pop and breakout. It pulled back late on Wednesday and came on again on Thursday, and jumped a nice 2.06, or 10.28%, to 22.09, with a session high of 22.43, on 8.25 million shares traded. If it can get up through 22 1/2 with energy, then we are looking at 25-26, and beyond.
