AMAG, CCC, LAC, NOVA, REGI -- Stock Charts to Watch

Charts of the Day video for Wednesday September 30th, 2020

AMAG Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (AMAG) was up just 13 cents to 9.40 on Wednesday, with a with a session high of 9.60 from a low of 9.28, but in after-hours it exploded 4.10, taking it to 13.50, or 43.6%, on 295,811 shares traded. We will have to watch this one tomorrow, but it looks to me like it broke out of a falling wedge and wave 5 has started. It’s at resistance. If it can get any further progress, it could be a 17-dollar stock.

Clarivate (CCC), an information technology services, broke out of a two-month consolidation flag on Wednesday and ran up 1.45, or 5%, to 30.99, with a session high of 32.23, on 3 million shares traded, and in after-hours it popped another 50 cents, taking it to 31.49. It’s at the top of the channel, but if it accelerates, we could see mid 30’s.

Lithium Americas Corp. (LAC) exploded on Wednesday after imploding a week ago and really came back in five days. It had an inside on Tuesday, and on Wednesday, it moved up 78 cents, or 7.35%, to 11.39, with a session high of 12.93 from a 10.47 low, on a very strong 15.5 million shares traded. Wednesday’s move was significant. It hit the top of the channel and backed off and may need to back and fill and consolidate, but my next target is 15.

Sunnova Energy International Inc. (NOVA) broke out of a wedge, formed a V-bottom and right-hand extension, and may have even formed a little inverse ahead-and-shoulders-type pattern. On Wednesday it made a big break-away move on 3.9 million shares traded, and jumped 3.48, or 13%, to 30.41, with a session high of 30.68. I’m expecting this to make a run at 40 next.

Renewable Energy Group, Inc. (REGI) popped, came out of a consolidation zone on Tuesday, followed through on Wednesday, and moved up 3.40, or 6.8%, to 53.42, with a session high of 54.74, on 2 million shares traded and another 80 cents in after-hours. That’s the best volume on an up-day since last December. This stock might start to accelerate. If it does, the next target is 57-58.
