Altimmune, Inc. (ALT) was down 20 cents, or 1.09, to 18.22, with a session high of 18.67, on 1 million shares traded on Thursday. It has a beautiful five waves up, and then it looks like another wedge was set up for another wave. I should have known better, because normally, and I said this when I gave it to you, it might be, if this is the fifth wave and if so, it could break down. That’s exactly what it did. On Wednesday this stock was stopped under the support level. I believe I had it around 20.
Avis Budget Group, Inc. (CAR) is looking good, and continues to trend. On Thursday it was up another 86 cents, or 2.58, to 34.15 with a session high of 34.39, on 1.9 million shares traded. It’s pulling above the trendline and could break out above the June high at the 36 1/2 range, which could lead to something like 50, believe it or not. Let’s keep our eyes on this one.
Freeport-McMoRan Inc. (FCX) made a nominal new high on Thursday at 15.34 before pulling back and closing up 11 cents, or less than 1%, to 14.90, with a session high of 15.34, on 17.5 million shares traded. It was a reversal day perhaps. We’ll see. Near-term support is 14 1/4. Stop under 13.70.
NIO Inc. (NIO) exploded for four days, pulled back a little on Thursday, and was down 56 cents, or 2.75, to 19.88, with session high of 20.47, on 191 million shares traded. Nevertheless, I think this has more to go. It consolidated and formed some sort of flag or pennant. The next target is 23.
Pacific Ethanol, Inc. (PEIX) exploded off the low and off the channel bottom on Thursday, popping 48 cents, or 14 1/2%, to 3.80, with a session high of 4.20, on a massive 9 million shares traded. That a lot of volume for that stock. It was up another 52 cents in after-hours. It looks like a reversal. Near-term target is a retest of the 5-5 1/4 range, and then maybe 5 1/2.
WiMi Hologram Cloud Inc. (WIMI) was down 8 cents, or 1.06%, to 7.48, with session high of 7.99, on 2 million shares traded. It appears to break out here. It backed off and is consolidating. I’m not thrilled with this chart, but I like the way the OBV is handling itself and how quiet the technicals got. I just don’t want to see it move underneath 7-7.20. That my stop right there.
