Alcoa Corporation (AA), which we put a swing on when it was down around 6.00, has almost made it up to 18.00, nearly tripling in 7-8 months. On Monday it popped 1.09, or 6.58%, and closed at the session high at 17.66, on 6.4 million shares traded. The target now remains 20.50 and 23.00.
Blink Charging Co. (BLNK), after an explosive move from May through August, this stock went into a multi-month consolidation, coiled, and then on Monday it broke out with a move up of 2.49, or 25.67%, to 12.19, with a session high of 12.54, on 13.3 million shares traded, and then another an additional 89 cents to 13.08 in after-hours. That was the highest close since 2017. At this point, I would look for some resistance, but if it can push up through the 14-15 range, you may see something in the near 20’s.
Lattice Semiconductor Corporation (LSCC), which I have been following, was a swing trade back in February 2019 in the 6.00-7.00 range. On Monday it popped 1.77, or 4.46%, to 41.53, with a session high of 41.68, on 924,801 shares traded. That is nearly a 7-fold increase. It recently broke out of a flag, ran up, and looks like it wants to go higher. The current target is 44.00.
Upwork Inc. (UPWK) exploded, broke away from a rising channel, had a 4-day pullback, resumed its advance with a 2-day pause last week, and on Monday it advanced 2.24, or 7.26%, to 33.08, with a session high of 33.43, on 5.2 million shares traded. The sky is the limit on this one, folks. Going forward, I can see 37.00-40.00 next.
Valero Energy Corporation (VLO), one of the better refineries and as the oil sector is moving up, broke out, crossed over two moving averages, and on Monday gained 4.75, or 9.33%, to 55.67, with a session high of 56.00, on 8.9 million shares traded. I think it is going to test the double-top around 59.00-59.50 very near term, and then it may get to the mid-60’s.
