HALO, NKTR, PXLW, QURE — Stock Charts to Watch

Charts of the Day video for Wednesday November 8th, 2017

HALO, NKTR, PXLW, QURE

Halozyme Therapeutics, Inc. (HALO), one of our swing trades, exploded out of a wedge on Wednesday, popping 2.25, or 13%, to 19.09, on 3.9 million shares traded. That’s the biggest volume in a couple months for this stock. It looks like a breakout. There is some resistance in the 19 1/2 range. If it gets through that, you may very well see 23-23 1/2 over the next couple weeks. It has 12.8 days to cover.

Nektar Therapeutics (NKTR) is a swing of ours that acted great on Wednesday. It popped out of a wedge and exploded vertically from 23 to nearly 32-3 right to resistance at the top of the channel, jumping 3.46, or 13%, to 30.30, on 6.9 million shares traded. There may be some pullback consolidation, but if it follows through, 36 is my target. There’s 12.7 days to cover.

Pixelworks, Inc. (PXLW) broke out on Wednesday, pulled back, and popped 34 cents, or 6.18%, to 5.84, on 1.23 million shares traded, with a high of 6.10. The volume was the biggest in 5-6 weeks. If it can take out 6.22, then it has a shot at 7 1/4, even at the top of the longer-term channel, which comes in at 8-9.00. It could get interesting. It has 4 days to cover.

uniQure N.V. (QURE) is acting very well. It ran 52 cents, or 3.26%, to 16.46, on nearly 500,000 shares traded on Wednesday. You can see the recent explosive move and falling wedge. The wedge got a little deeper than I want it to be, taking it all the way back down to 14.00. If this gets above 16 3/4, you might see the 22-23 range. I’ll be watching for that on a swing trade. This one has 12 1/2 days to cover.
