ARWR, AZN, GTHX, IOVA, NKTR, PINS, RUN — Stock Charts to Watch

Charts of the Day video for Tuesday June 18th, 2019

Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (ARWR) had a breakout of a 6-day flag on Tuesday with a breakaway gap, popping 1.44, or 5.44%, to 27.89, on 2.1 million shares. It looks like it’s on its way to 31-32. Those are my next targets.

AstraZeneca PLC (AZN), on positive drug news on Tuesday, popped 97 cents, or 2.43%, to 40.95, on 3.1 million shares. We’ll see if that follows through. Targets are at the gap at 41.50, and then the highs at 43.30.

G1 Therapeutics, Inc. (GTHX) popped and had a big breakaway of 4.75, or 24%, to 24.50, on 2.3 million shares. That’s the biggest volume since Dec when it bottomed. To me, Tuesday was a breakout day. It’s headed for 30 and 36.

Iovance Biotherapeutics, Inc. (IOVA) continues to push forward, advancing another 45 cents, or 2%, to 22.40, on 2.1 million shares. It’s at the tail end of a multiple wave, so be careful.

Nektar Therapeutics (NKTR) is building a nice-little mini base after a long drop. It popped and pulled back, popped and pulled back, and on Tuesday, it popped again, jumping 1.47, or 4.36%, to 35.17, on 942,101 shares traded. I need this stock to get through the double-top at 35.80, and then it can run to 38 3/4 and 40.

Pinterest, Inc. (PINS) exploded after the IPO in April, pulled down sharply, broke out again and retested, and is moving yet again, on Tuesday gaining 95 cents, or 3.4%, to 28.80, on 1.6 million shares. Targeting about 31, and if it gets through that, then 33 3/4-34 going forward.

Sunrun Inc. (RUN), another one of the solar stocks we follow, broke out of an inverse head-and-shoulders, with an up-sloping neckline, but it pointed to lateral resistance first, formed a double top, and popped 1.18, or 6.9%, to 18.27, on 4.1 million shares. It’s headed probably to 20, maybe 21.
