AMRN, BYND, NVCR, SOLY, STNE, WW — Stock Charts to Watch

Charts of the Day video for Friday July 12th, 2019

AMRN, BYND, NVCR, SOLY, STNE, WW

Amarin Corporation plc (AMRN), which has been consolidating since Oct in a long, coiling-type pattern, recently broke out, and on Thursday, it took it up to resistance and popped 52 cents, or 2.37%, to 22.50, on 6.2 million shares, and then slightly backed off. I’m of the opinion, though, that the pullback on low volume is a bullish sign and the falling wedge may have been broken by the end of the day on Thursday. Keep an eye on this one to see of it follows through. Certainly, if it gets above 23.85, I think it will go to 26 3/4-27, and then 29 3/4-30.

Beyond Meat, Inc. (BYND) came out of the coil I showed you and has been up for 6 days in a row, snapping back 10.69, or 7%, to 174.20, on 5.5 million shares. After having broken through resistance, I now look for it to test 186, and the 200.

NovoCure Limited (NVCR) keeps ramping up and is been in a beautiful rising channel since April low when it was 41, and change. Thursday, it jumped 3.82, or 5.85%, to 69.13, on 1.2 million shares, and may be headed to a long-term top at some point near 100. This stock has good momentum.

Soliton, Inc. (SOLY) popped a few days ago and pulled back, but on Thursday, you can see that it is coming on again, popping 3.72, or 21%, to 21.22, on a solid 7 million shares. I have the opinion that SOLY has more to go. Next targets are 21 3/4, and then 28-9

Software stock StoneCo Ltd. (STNE) exploded and broke out of a base on Thursday, filled the gap, and closed up 2.86, or 9%, to 34.87, on 6.3 million shares. Good volume, and the best we’ve seen since April. I would not be surprised to see STNE make a run at the 44.40-44.50 range

Weight Watchers International I (WW) looks like it may have turned the corner, having broken the declining topsline, pulled back to retest it, and then ramped up to resistance to test the May high at the reflection point at 24.40. It was up 1 83, or 8.38%, to 23.67, on 5.5 million shares, with a high of 23.98 on Thursday. If it gets through 24.40, I wouldn’t be shocked to see WW, for starters, run to 27-28.

Stocks on the long side included Amarin Corporation plc (AMRN). Digital Turbine, Inc. (APPS), Beyond Meat, Inc. (BYND), Chegg, Inc. (CHGG), Nutanix, Inc. (NTNX), NovoCure Limited (NVCR), PaySign, Inc. (PAYS), Soliton, Inc. (SOLY), StoneCo Ltd. (STNE), Workhorse Group Inc. (WKHS), and Weight Watchers International I (WW).
