AMD, AUDC, LSCC, OSTK SSYS, WKHS — Stock Charts to Watch

Charts of the Day video for Tuesday July 9th, 2019

Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (AMD) had a nice, important, technical breakout on Tuesday. It was up 1.11 cents, or 1.46%, to 33.16, on 16 million shares. That’s not a significant price move, but it did break out above resistance. The only thing left now is the double-top at 34 1/4. If it gets through that, I’m thinking this is a 40-dollar stock. The longer-term target is 45.

AudioCodes Ltd. (AUDC), which was a swing of ours in July 2018, did very well, moving from 7.00 into the mid-teens. It pulled back and consolidated for two months forming a bull coil, and on Tuesday it broke out on heavy volume. It closed up 85 cents, or 5.43%, to 16.45, on 2.3 million shares and I believe it’s going to be testing the 17.45 area, followed by a move to 19 and 21. Those are the next targets on AUDC.

Lattice Semiconductor Corporation (LSCC), which ran from 7.00 all the way up to the 16 range, is still moving. Tuesday was a key breakout for this stock, moving above it’s quadruple top. It closed up 36 cents, or 2.4%, to 15.38 on 2.6 million shares, and now I’m looking for a move to 17 1/2 and 20 as the next targets on this chart.

The Overstock.com, Inc. (OSTK) swing just did fantastic for TheTechTraders. Having given that to you around the 14 1/2 range, it held the 14 range where there was support, and on Tuesday it popped after two days of running, and got up to 19.46, gaining 51 cents, 3%, to 17.45, on 1.9 million shares, on 5 million shares. So, it met my targets. If it gets a pullback consolidation in this zone, I think the next target should be around 20 3/4 and 23, potentially.

Stratasys Ltd. (SSYS), which I put a swing on Tuesday, is doing great. This is the leader in its industry. Look at the 3-year base pattern. It closed at 28.91 on Tuesday. If it moves upward, it may very well get to 40 on a swing trade.

Workhorse Group Inc. (WKHS) finally came out of a little flag and popped 16 cents, or 5.6%, to 3.00, on 3 million shares. That’s the best volume in seven sessions. Keep an eye on the 3.20-.25 range. If it gets through that, this stock could run hard to 4 1/2-3/4, maybe even 5 3/4-6.

Stocks on the long side included Applied Optoelectronics, Inc. (AAOI), Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (AMD), AudioCodes Ltd. (AUDC), CareDx, Inc (CDNA), Camber Energy, Inc. (CEI), Cutera, Inc. (CUTR), Bitcoin Investment Trust (GBTC), Inphi Corporation (IPHI), Lattice Semiconductor Corporation (LSCC), NIO Inc. (NIO), Overstock.com, Inc. (OSTK), pays, Qudian Inc. (QD), Electrameccanica Vehicles Corp. (SOLO), Square, Inc. (SQ), Stratasys Ltd. (SSYS), Twitter, Inc. (TWTR), and Workhorse Group Inc. (WKHS).
