Again, we are going to take a look at both longs and shorts here.
Asure Software, Inc. (ASUR) was not very heavily traded on Thursday, only 112,300, but it has a very clear pattern. It ran up to resistance, backed off, ran up again, and finally coiled for a few months, then held support for quite a long time. At the end of last week, it popped and pulled back, and then this week it took off again. On Tuesday and Wednesday it was in a low-volume consolidation, and on Thursday, it exploded for 1.27 to 7.45, or 20.55%. At this point, with a clean breakout, look for it to run up to 9.90 short-term, and if it really accelerates, it could get up into the low teens.
Cheniere Energy, Inc. (LNG) had a big spectacular reversal on Thursday on positive news. It went from 13.64 to 16, closing at 15.59, up 1.43, or 10%, on 15.5 million shares. That’s the heaviest volume in about 3 weeks. It could get up to test the highs around the 19 zone, so keep an eye on that one.
Medgenics, Inc. (MDGN) is acting very well. It popped out of a wedge at the top of the channel on Thursday, up 2.15 to 14.80, or 17%, on 290,000 shares. That’s not huge volume, but good for this stock. At this point, it has enough momentum to crack the top of the channel and get into the high teens.
VirnetX Holding Corp (VHC) started out with a bang on Thursday morning, and then backed off, closing up 1.90 to 37.77, or 5.3%, on 2.3 million shares. It’s in a long-term rising channel not far from resistance, up against the 39-40 trading target. If it gets through here, it has the potential to go much higher.
