The stock market didn’t look so good on Tuesday, and we may be in trouble. If we can hold this level here, it may get hit in the next few days. We’ll go over some of the Boxer Shorts, however, some of the longs that we follow did well today, and here is just a few of them.
AerCap Holdings N.V. (AER) had an exceptional breakaway gap day. On Tuesday, it went through resistance and popped all the way up to 13 and backed off to 12.48, up 1.33, or 12%, on 1.6 million shares. That’s the biggest volume so far this year. If there’s a follow-through, look for something up around 13.50 short-term. Beyond that, the next target will be up in the 15-15 1/2 zone.
Susser Holdings Corporation (SUSS) continues to be on the Top 20 list for the year. This stock acts fantastic and moved up another 1.28 to 38.80, or 3.4%, on 181,000 shares traded on Tuesday. It looks like it could extend and maybe move up to the 40-41 zone short-term.
On the Short Side…
CARBO Ceramics Inc. (CRR) has been having a very tough time of late. It has a nasty downtrend pattern. It was down 1.23 to 75.31, or 1.6% on Tuesday. Recently, after bouncing to resistance and backing off to form a wedge, it looks like it could break and move into the 54 zone.
Fossil, Inc. (FOSL) had a nasty, nasty break, plunging down to support, formed a large wedge, and when that broke, it’s come down nearly every day in the last five sessions, taking out the prior lows. On Tuesday, it was down 1.64 to 66.08, or 2.42%, on 1.2 million shares. This stock looks like it’s headed for doomsville down around 48-49.
